FINANCING:

While OPA! Head Office does not offer direct financing, we are dedicated to helping you take the next step toward franchise ownership with confidence. OPA! of Greece is a preferred customer with major Canadian banks, a distinction that may provide qualified candidates access to competitive lending terms and a more efficient approval process.

From initial introductions to trusted financial institutions to guidance throughout the application journey, our team is with you every step of the way. Our goal is to make the financing process as smooth and supportive as possible, so you can focus on bringing fresh, Greek-inspired food to your community and building a successful future with OPA!

REAL ESTATE:

Our experienced and dedicated Real Estate team is always selecting and negotiating new prime restaurant locations considering best available rates, market demographics, accessibility, visibility to be comparable to our current restaurants across Canada. While we consider your opinion very valuable, the final selection will be approved by the CEO and the Development department based on the above-mentioned criteria and your comments.

Franchising:

OPA! has an easy and simple franchising process. Please start by clicking the GET STARTED button; fill out the initial personal information form and one of our franchise experienced team members will contact you to start the process. While collecting all necessary information, application form and other required documents from you, we will schedule three interviews, including a Discovery Day with our OPA! Head Office team before providing the final approval.

Construction:

Our Project Manager will lead the whole process, including drawings, construction, equipment, permits, communication with the landlord and local government agencies, etc. There will be a tender process inviting several general contractors within the area to ensure we are getting professional work and competitive pricing.  However, if you have a preferred contractor with proven related experience, we will invite them to bid on the tendering process.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the minimum investment required?

You need to have a minimum of unencumbered cash of $200,000.00, which it is around 30% to 35% of total investment.

What fees do I have to pay?

Initial franchise fee of $25,000.00; monthly royalty payments of 6% and brand fund of 3%.

What would it be the ideal candidate?

Passionate about food, strong leadership skills, hands on operator, willing to follow franchising guidelines and more than anything else, a Great Attitude.

CAN I acquire more than one OPA! restaurant?

While our approval process requires the franchisee to be 100% hands on operator, we encourage everyone to become a multi-unit franchise owner/operator. Special growth incentives to be provided when ready for the growth.

WHAT BUILD OUT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FRANCHISEES?

There are two build out options, Street Front locations with an average footprint of 1,000 to 1,400 sq ft and Food Court location with an average of 350 sq ft in selected markets.
